At the July 23, 1:15 pm game of the Edgartown Bridge Club in Vineyard Haven, 15 tables were in play. Finishing in first place in the North-South direction were Sandy and Michael Lindheimer, followed by Bea Pear and Mollie Whalen in second, Barbara Silk and Dave Donald in third, Sandy Smith and Ken Judson in fourth, Eric Stricoff and Rhonda Cohen in fifth, and Andy Jacknain and John O’Keefe in sixth. In the East-West direction, Wink Winkelman and Barbara Besse finished first, followed by Kay Kendall and Iris Capobianco in second, Rachel Alpert and Wendy Wolf in third, Lee Sinai and Georgie Schley in fourth, Barbara Alleyne and Martha Cameron in fifth, and Judy Cronig and Molly Mattoon in sixth place.
At the July 24, 7 pm game of Martha’s Vineyard Bridge Club in Vineyard Haven, seven tables were in play. Finishing in first place in the North-South direction were Barbara Besse and Sandy Lindheimer, followed by Don Nelson and Wink Winkelman in second, and David Donald and Michel Riel in third. In the East-West direction, Rachel Alpert and Barbara McLagen finished first, followed by Barbara Silk and Mollie Whalen in second, and Bea Phear and Cecily Greenaway in third place.
At the July 26, 7 pm game of the Island Bridge Club, 12 pairs competed. First place went to Barbara Besse and Story Osborne, followed by Don Nelson and Wink Winkelman in second, Andy Jacknain and John O’Keefe in third, David Donald and Rich Colter in fourth, and Sandy and Michael Lindheimer in fifth place.
At the Bridge Club of Martha’s Vineyard on Saturday, July 28, nine tables were in play. In the North-South direction, Sandy and Michael Lindheimer finished first, followed by Joan Perrine and Patsy McCornack in second, Kay Kendall and Judy Hyde in third, and Carol Whitmarsh and Deidre Ling in fourth place. In the East-West direction, Iris Capobianco and Carol Butler finished first, followed by Ken Judson and Lee Scott in second, Story Osborne and Barbara Besse in third, and Jim Kaplan and Brooks Robards in fourth.
