At the Sept. 17, 1:15 pm game of the Edgartown Bridge Club in Vineyard Haven 11 tables were in play for International Charity Fund event. Finishing in first place overall were Barbara Besse and Wink Winkelman, followed by Diana Dozier and Gerry Averill in second, Cyndee Dennehy and Penny Guest in third, John O’Keefe and Ken Judson in fourth, and Molly Mattoon and Judy Cronig in fifth place. Also finishing in their direction were Mollie Whalen and Bea Phear, and Gail Farrish and Warren Morse.
The Sept. 18, 7 pm game of Martha’s Vineyard Bridge Club in Vineyard Haven had 11 pairs competing in an International Charity Fund event. Finishing in first place overall were Barbara Besse and Carol Whitmarsh, followed by Ency and Robert Fokos in second place. Tied for third place were David Donald, playing with Michel Riel, and John O’Keefe, playing with Andy Jacknain.
Eleven pairs competed at the Sept. 20, 7 pm game of the Island Bridge Club. First place overall went to David Donald and John O’Keefe, followed by Mollie Whalen and Cecily Greenaway in second, Sandy Lindheimer and Barbara Besse in third, and Bari Boyer and Carol Whitmarsh in fourth.
