At the August 12, 1:15 pm game of the Edgartown Bridge Club, 11 tables were in play. First place in the North-South direction went to Bea Phear and Mollie Whalen, followed by Jim Wolfe and Iris Capobianco in second, Barbara Silk and Dave Donald in third, and Rhonda Cohen and Eric Stricoff in fourth. In the East-West direction, Rachel Alpert and Barbara McLagan finished first, followed by Sandy and Michael Lindheimer in second, Jerri Grannis and Louise Marx in third, and Jim Kaplan and Brooks Robards in fourth.
At the August 13, 7 pm game of the Martha’s Vineyard Bridge Club in Vineyard Haven, nine pairs competed. First place overall went to Barbara Besse and Sandy Lindheimer, followed by Rachel Alpert and Barbara McLagan in second, Colleen Morris and Barbara Alleyne in third, and Mollie Whalen and Bea Phear in fourth.
Seven tables competed at the August 15, 7 pm game of the Island Bridge Club in West Tisbury. First place in the North-South direction went to Sandy and Michael Lindheimer, followed by Rich Peia and John O’Keefe in second, and Anthony and Beverly Keats in third. In the East-West direction Mollie Whalen and Cecily Greenaway finished first, followed by Ency and Robert Fokos in second, and Barbara Besse and Dave Donald in third place.
And at the August 17, 9:30 am game of the Bridge Club of Martha’s Vineyard, eight tables were in play. Finishing in first place in the North-South direction were Joan Perrine and Patsy McCornack, followed by Rhonda Cohen and Eric Stricoff in second, Julia Burgess and Margaret Jordan in third, and Cheryl Neal and Dotti Arnold in fourth. For East-West pairs, Ann Brown and Ted Poritz finished first, followed by Colleen Morris and Barbara Alleyne in second, Jim Kaplan and Brooks Robards in third place, and Malcolm Goodridge and Steve Vanze in fourth.
