At the August 19, 1:15 pm game of the Edgartown Bridge Club, 12 tables were in play. First place in the North-South direction went to Barbara Silk and Dave Donald, followed by Carolyn Flynn and Kevin Carey in second, John O’Keefe and Rich Peia in third, Sandy and Michael Lindheimer in fourth, and Bari Boyer and Diane Drake in fifth place. In the East-West direction, Ann Brown and Audrey Egger finished first, followed by Cyndee Dennehy and Penny Guest in second, Barbara Besse and Wink Winkelman in third, Jerri Grannis and Louise Marx in fourth, and Gerry Averill and her partner in fifth place.
At the August 20, 7 pm game of the Martha’s Vineyard Bridge Club in Vineyard Haven, 11 pairs competed. First place overall went to John O’Keefe and Andy Jacknain, followed by Dave Donald and Lolly Hand in second, Michael Lindheimer and Story Osborne in third, and Mollie Whalen and Bea Phear in fourth place.
Seven tables competed at the August 22, 7 pm game at the Island Bridge Club in West Tisbury. First place in the North-South direction went to Deirdre Ling and Ed Russell, followed by Lolly Hand and Michel Riel in second, and Sandy and Michael Lindheimer in third place. In the East-West direction, Story Osborne and Andy Jacknain finished first, followed by Dave Donald and Rich Colter in second, and Bari Boyer and Carol Whitmarsh in third place.
And at the August 24, 9:30 am game of the Bridge Club of Martha’s Vineyard, seven tables were in play. Finishing in first place in the North-South direction were Rhonda Cohen and Eric Stricoff, followed by Carol Whitmarsh and Ken Judson in second, and Shirley Strother and George Elferink in third place. For East-West pairs, Trudi Ulmer and Barbara Alleyne finished first, followed by Jim Kaplan and Brooks Robards in second, and Malcolm Goodridge and Steve Vanze in third place.
