The Island fall festivities continued this weekend with the Agricultural Society’s Fall Festival and Farmers Market, held Saturday at the Ag Hall. Visitors could shop for fresh food and wares from a number of local farms and businesses inside the hall, while kids enjoyed hayrides and pumpkin carving outside. The festival had entertainment of all sorts, including live music, a horse archery demo from Amity Island Horse Archers, and a tractor pull.
Many vendors got in the Halloween spirit by dressing up in costumes and decorating their stands. Heather Thurber of Breezy Pine Farm put together her best witch costume, while Rusty Gordon of Ghost Island Farm brought in life-size mannequins dressed in various costumes to decorate his booth.
