At the Dec. 9, 1:15 game of the Edgartown Bridge Club, 12 pairs competed. Finishing in first place were Barbara Silk and Dave Donald, followed by Rich Peia and John O’Keefe in second, Bea Phear and Cecily Greenaway in third, Jane Haley and Vicki Bologna in fourth, and Barbara Besse and Wink Winkelman in fifth place.
Seven pairs competed in a club championship at the Dec. 10, 7 pm game of the Martha’s Vineyard Bridge Club in Vineyard Haven. First place overall went to Dave Donald and Michel Riel, followed by Bea Phear and Cecily Greenaway in second place. Also finishing and earning masterpoints were Barbara Besse and Carol Whitmarsh. Please note that beginning Jan. 7, the Martha’s Vineyard Bridge Club will be moving to its new home at the Senior Center in Oak Bluffs. Game time will remain 7 pm.
And at the Dec. 12, 2 pm game at the Senior Center in Oak Bluffs, the Island Bridge Club had 10 pairs competing. Joan Perrine and Cecily Greenaway finished in first place, followed by Dave Donald and Rich Colter in second, Gerry Averill and Caroline Baum in third, and Barbara Besse and Wink Winkelman in fourth.
