Enjoy magazines online with the Vineyard Haven library

Vineyard Haven library. — Kyra Steck

The Vineyard Haven library’s collection of digital magazines has been expanded. Some of the most expensive magazine subscriptions, such as the New York Review of Books, the Economist and The New Yorker, are now available for free for CLAMS cardholders through Overdrive Magazines. Looking for a lighter read? Overdrive Magazines also has US Weekly, Star, and even the U.K.’s famous gossip-and-celebrity rag Hello! You can also find inspiration in cooking, craft, home decorating, and photography magazines; or pursue special interests in sports, technology or hunting and fishing. You can even practice a language by borrowing international magazines, or dig deep on global subjects such as the Harvard Business Review Brasil in Portuguese.

Readers can browse Overdrive magazines by visiting bit.ly/2X8zusa. If you haven’t created an Overdrive account, you will need to do so. Then log in using your library card number and the password (usually the last four digits of the card). Overdrive magazines are always available with no wait times, and they do not count against patron checkout limits. If you have any problems or questions, call the library at 508-696-4211.

If you prefer print magazines, you can still checkout favorites through contactless pickup, including the most recent issues. Just call or email the library to let them know what you would like and choose a day to pick up your order.
