Power outages were reported across Martha’s Vineyard Friday afternoon.
An Eversource outage map showed scattered outages in Oak Bluffs and Edgartown at about 5:30 pm. Earlier, electricity went out in Vineyard Haven, including The Times offices, but eventually came back on.
The cause of the outages is unclear, but the Eversource website says power should be fully restored by 8 pm. An Eversource spokesman could not immediately be reached for comment.
