The Vineyard Cribbage Club met at the American Legion Hall in Edgartown on July 14, with 20 players. Six games are played, with two points for a win, zero for a loss, and three points for a skunk — a win greater than 30 points. First places went to Mary Alice Russell with a 10/5 plus 19 card; Bo Picard was second with a 10/4 plus 83; Ron Ferreira came in third with a 9/4 plus 48; Roy Scheffer was fourth with a 9/4 plus 419, and Ed Montesion came in fifth with a 8/4 plus 22.

There were four 24-point hands, and Dennis von Mehren was dealt a 28 point hand. If you play cribbage, check out the games. Anyone who loves cribbage is welcome to join the group. If you can play a game in 20 minutes, come and check us out. Play begins every Wednesday at 6 pm sharp.
