The Rise Vineyard Performing Arts dance company presents its annual Company Showcase on Sunday, April 2, at 3 pm at the Performing Arts Center. This one-time-only performance is suitable for all ages, and is a great way for audiences to experience all the different genres of dance Rise offers to Island students.

Dancers will perform pieces that were showcased at two different dance competitions earlier this year. Rise company dancers traveled to StarQuest in February, and to Turn It Up Dance Challenge in March, where they competed with more than 50 pieces of choreography for judging and critique. They were recognized, and won numerous top-scoring, category, choreography, and overall awards. Choreographic styles included jazz, tap, contemporary, lyrical, acrobatics, musical theater, and hip-hop, and the dancers performed in solo, duet, small group, large group, and line arrangements.

Led by director and choreographer Jil Matrisciano, the Rise Vineyard Performing Arts dance company is composed of 38 students, ages 7 to 15, who demonstrate a strong commitment and passion for dance at a preprofessional level.

The 2022–23 Rise Vineyard Performing Arts dance company is made up of Lilly Avakian, Grace Bennett-Rock, Addison Blake, Clover Briggs, Harper Cash, Aurora Christensen, Avery Conley, Brielle Cortez, Teagan D’Arcy, Chloe Ebanks, Marlena Gale, Taylor Golding, Isla Gregory, Emma Huffam, Fallyn Huffam, Leya LaBell, Alexis LaVigne, Zoey Lundberg, Linden MacLeod, Emily MacMillan, Joy MacMillan, Rose MacMillan, Ayla Mallory, Aisla Miller, Margaret Moehnke, Lacey Munn, Veyda Pearl, Bhu Pedler, Ryah Perry, Alicia Silva, Iyla Story, Grace Voshell, Charlotte Watts, Casey Webster, Savannah Werther, Violet Werther, Phoenix White, and Genevieve Wise.
