Twenty Vineyard Cribbage Club members met on Wednesday at the American Legion Hall in Edgartown to play our favorite game. (Full disclosure: This week I lost all but one game, and placed second to last, but still had a blast.)
These are the people who placed:
First, Roger MeGary with a 10/5 +74 card
Second, Ed Montesion with a 10/4 +93 card
Third, Patricia Bergeron with a 10/4 +91 card
Fourth, Alan Michaels with a 9/4 +52 card
Fifth, Ron Ferreira with an 8/4 +48 card
There were Six skunks (a game won by more than 31 points) — and I lost three of them! There were a record eight 24-point hands: by Bo Picard, Mary Alice Russell, Patricia Bergeron, Sharon Barba, Ken Scott, Ed Montesion, Collin Evanson, and Paul Humphrey. Alan Michaels scored a flush crib.
