Barbara June (Stevens) Morris died peacefully on Nov. 15, 2024, at the Windemere Nursing Home in Oak Bluffs.
June, as she was known to everyone, was born in Leicester, U.K., on Jan. 31, 1935, to John and Ena Stevens. June met and married Sgt. David E. Morris while he was serving in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
June was a banquet manager, and the owner of Barbara J’s Bridal Shop.
June is survived by her sister, Sylvia Pavous, and her children, Lindsey Bates and Simon Pavous; and by David and June’s children, Richard Morris (Paula), Sheryl A. Maciel (Neal), David E. Morris Jr., Mark Morris (Deidre), and Stephen Morris (Cathy). June enjoyed spending time with her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The children of June would like to thank everyone at Windemere Nursing Home for the care provided to their mother.
A private burial will be held later, and a complete obituary will appear in a later edition of this paper.
