Twenty members of the Vineyard Cribbage Club met to play our favorite game. The results were as follows:
First, Ray Lincoln with a GRAND SLAM 13/6 + 85 card
Second, Roy Scheffer with a 13/5 +132 card
Third, Jack Silvia with a 9/4 +93 card
Fourth, Byram Devine with a 9/4 +48 card
Fifth, Bill Russell with a 9/4 +36 card
There were only two 24-point hands, by Roy Scheffer and Paul Breen. There were a total of 11 skunks, a game won by more than 30 points.
We had a guest this past week, Jef Hale, who was dealt the impressive 28-point hand!
David Pothier achieved this feat last month. Way to go Dave and Jef!
Please come and join us for a fun night of cribbage. We meet every Wednesday night at the MVRHS Culinary Dining Room; the entrance is across from the tennis courts. We bring food to share at 5:30 pm, and we start playing at 6 pm SHARP. We are excited to announce we will be moving back to the American Legion Hall in Edgartown on Dec. 3.
