Earlier this year, Congress voted for, and the administration signed, a rescission package. This package called for defunding the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), requiring it to take back money that had already been appropriated for 2025.
For over a decade, MVYRadio received a grant from CPB called a community service grant (CSG). With this grant, MVYradio is able to staff programs like “The Vineyard Current” and “The Cape Cod Current.”
