Cousins and friends Abby Bender and Molly Coogan spearhead “Membership Down!”: It’s a tip of the hat to the beloved adventure novel “Watership Down.” It’s a series of live variety game shows that originated at the Oak Bluffs library. Three contestants compete to win funds for the local charity of their choice.
“Membership Down!” is free, with a suggested donation; all donations go toward the players’
nonprofits of choice. Each show features original interactive games and loads of goofy entertainment. This is the 16th show. Nearly $9,000 has been raised for local charities so far. February’s Valentine’s theme is the first “couples” edition, and will feature Sean Roach and Heather Dyas-Fried, Darby Patterson and Charlie Davol, Allyson and Rizwan Malik, and the Membership Down! motley crew of Island all-stars. Tuesday, Feb. 10, at 7 pm at the P.A. Club, 137 Vineyard Ave. in Oak Bluffs. No reservations or tickets required to attend. Recommended for adults only.
