The Island Hookers will be exhibiting a wide variety of hooked rugs during a month-long show starting February 2 at the West Tisbury Free Library. The rugs include original landscapes, floral, graphic and island history designs created by experienced hookers and beginners. There will be an opening reception from 3 pm to 4:30 pm on February 6th, where the artists will be available to explain techniques, show how hooking is done, and let visitors try their hands at the art of hooking. Some of the rugs will be for sale with a portion of the proceeds being donated to the West Tisbury Free Library.
