Invasions, a joint exhibition by Julie Jaffe and Heather Sommers, brings together two distinct artistic approaches to interpreting the urgencies of recent history. Through their respective mediums, the artists act as observers and interpreters of conflict, power, and displacement, calling attention to assaults on democratic norms and the global order. Together, their work reflects the unsettling reality of our present moment while urging viewers toward collective responsibility, human decency, and the possibility of peace. The exhibit will run February 5th through February 28th at the Chilmark Library.
