To the Editor:
By the time you read this, I’ll be long gone. But I thought it fitting to pay my respects one last time to the Island — and the people on it — who saved my life.
You know who you are!
I came here a broken man in 2012, and leave whole again in 2026.
Next stop? Albuquerque, N.M., where I’ll be opening my own addiction and mental health treatment center. Absolutely none of this would be possible without having been afforded the luxury of living here for 14 years.
Ain’t life grand?
