On Wednesday, June 3, at 7:30 pm, musician Jorma Kaukonen will be performing on the Martha’s Vineyard Film Center stage.
Kaukonen’s career spans a half-century. A member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and a Grammy recipient, Jorma was at the forefront of popular rock ’n’ roll culture, and one of the founders of the San Francisco psychedelic rock scene. He is a founding member of Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna, and continues to tour the world, bringing his unique styling to old blues tunes while presenting new songs. In 2016, Kaukonen, Jack Casady, and the other members of Jefferson Airplane were awarded the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
