Does Judaism need Zionism? Does Zionism need Judaism? Come to the Hebrew Center for an evening of Torah study and desserts: “Discussion, Learning, and Healing from Divisions,” taught by Rabbi Caryn Broitman and student Rabbi Becca Heisler, with music by Cantor Louise Treitman.
Shavuot celebrates the giving of the Torah, and it is a Jewish tradition to mark this holiday with Tikkun Leil Shavuot, an evening of study and discussion. This evening of study will be exploring one of the most pressing questions of our time: the relationship between Judaism and Zionism.
Throughout the evening, Cantor Louise Treitman will lead us in song, teaching Jewish music from around the world.
