Shopping Shuttle

For several years, many Island residents have enjoyed the convenient, reliable Shopping Shuttle service offered by Martha’s Vineyard Center for Living. As of July 1, this service is being shifted to and expanded through a partnership between Healthy Aging M.V., the VTA, and your local Councils on Aging, with supporting funding from MassDOT. 

As we approach the hectic summer season, consider alternative ways to get around our beautiful Island. Read on to learn more about the new Community Shopping Shuttle and more.

Community Shopping Shuttle 

Do you want to ditch driving and retire from the hassle of traffic and parking? We’ll take you there! A friendly, reliable ride makes it easy to get out and about and to connect with friends and neighbors while getting your shopping and errands done.

•  Mondays, Edgartown (Stop & Shop, Pharmacy, Morning Glory Farm, Triangle area)

•  Wednesdays, Vineyard Haven (Stop & Shop, Post Office, Cronig’s, Medicine Shoppe, Main St.)

•  Thursdays, Up-Island (Up-Island Cronig’s, Conroy Pharmacy, M.V. Bank) 

•  Fridays, Oak Bluffs (Reliable Market, Island Food Pantry)

More transportation options from Healthy Aging M.V. 

M.V. Connect

Free door-to-door transportation for medical, shopping, and cultural activity trips for older adults. Rides are scheduled in advance and fulfilled by volunteer drivers.

GoGoGrandparent

Schedules Lyft and Uber rides for older adults. HAMV maintains a partnership with GoGoGranparent and covers membership fees and provides a limited monthly stipend to help cover the cost of rides.
