Circuit Arts is expanding its focus on live music with a new, year-round, Island-wide series that brings performances into a range of venues and community spaces.
Four-time Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Emily King brings her unmistakable silky vocals to the Strand Theatre. Born and raised on New York City’s Lower East Side, King began her career in Greenwich Village before being signed by Clive Davis at just 19 years old. Since then, she has built a celebrated career defined by genre-blending artistry and critically acclaimed songwriting.
King has toured internationally and collaborated with artists including Norah Jones, Jacob Collier, Robert Glasper, and Jon Batiste. Her albums “Seven,” “The Switch,” and “Special Occasion” have earned widespread acclaim, including a Grammy nomination for Best R and B Album. She continues to evolve her sound through her independent label while captivating audiences worldwide.
