Eighteen members of the Vineyard Cribbage Club met on Wednesday night to play our favorite game of cribbage. We welcomed back a few more summer residents, and had a great time! The results of the night are as follows:
First, Ron Ferreira with a 10/5 +64 card
Second, Andria Jason with a 9/4 +67 card
Third, Ed Roman with a 9/4 +21 card
Fourth, Ray Lincoln with an 8/4 +44 card
Fifth, Byram Devine with an 8/4 +32 card
Four whopping 24-point hands were dealt to, George Giosmas, Ed Roman, Ed Montesion, and Sammi Burns. There were a total of six skunks, a game lost by more than 30 points. We had only one infamous flush crib (very rare), by Sharon Barba. Big congrats to Mary Alice Russell on getting an extremely hard and rare 28-point hand this week!
Wishing Jack Silvia and Sam Cron the best of luck in a grassroots tournament off-Island in Malden.
We meet on Wednesdays at the American Legion in Katama. If you like cribbage, we have a potluck every week at 5:30 pm and we start playing at 6 pm SHARP.
