The Island Autism Group will hold their annual 5K race.

Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are invited to join in for Island Autism’s 5K Trail Race on Saturday, July 25. The race is sponsored in collaboration with the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism, a national nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals and families with autism live life to the fullest.

“This event is about bringing our community together while raising critical funds and awareness for autism support services on the Island,” said Kate DeVane, executive director. “We’re thrilled to partner with the Flutie Foundation, and look forward to welcoming people of all ages and abilities.”

The race will begin at the West Tisbury School and wind through the Manuel F. Correllus State Forest before looping back to the finish line. The community is encouraged to run, walk, or cheer from the sidelines.

Following the race, participants and supporters are invited to gather on the porch of the Island Autism Hub House at 515 Lambert’s Cove Road for a community celebration featuring yoga with Wholesome M.V., coffee from Andrea’s Brew, and breakfast treats from Morning Glory Farm.

Registration is now open at bit.ly/RSU_Flutie5KMV. Community members who would like to volunteer, donate, or sponsor the event can email Lena Hanschka at lena@islandautism.org
