Vineyard Arts Project announces the launch of “Saturdays at Five,” a summer performance series taking place every Saturday in August. The series will feature works-in-progress and performances from Vineyard Arts Project resident artists.
Following Vineyard Arts Project’s return to in-person programming in 2025, “Saturdays at Five” continues its commitment to fostering bold new work and artistic community on Martha’s Vineyard.
Each Saturday, audiences can experience an eclectic lineup of new musical theater, plays, dance, and multidisciplinary collaborations. Designed as an accessible and welcoming gathering space for both artists and audiences, the series celebrates process, experimentation, and creative exchange.
“We’re thrilled to invite audiences back into the room to experience these exciting new works as they evolve,” said Ashley Melone, founder and artistic director of Vineyard Arts. “There’s something uniquely special about witnessing artists share work in process; it creates a direct connection between creators and community.”
Previous residents include Patti LuPone, Bridget Everett, Sarah Bareilles, Bess Wohl, Branden Jacob Jenkins, the Public Theatre, New York Theatre Workshop, Dance Theatre of Harlem, and many more.
Tickets for all performances are pay-what-you-can. Reservations are encouraged due to limited seating. Vineyard Arts Project’s home is 215 Upper Main St. in Edgartown; vineyardarts.org.
