The former U.S. comptroller of the currency and founder and chairman of the Ludwig Institute for Shared Economic Prosperity, Gene Ludwig, recently released a book, and will be doing a book signing at Edgartown Books on July 31. 

Ludwig’s book, “The Mismeasurement of America: How Outdated Government Statistics Mask the Economic Struggles of Everyday Americans,” was recently profiled in Kirkus Review as one of the “Indie Books to Contemplate as America Turns 250.” The book addresses why so many Americans continue to struggle economically in spite of robust economic indicators.
