Every August, the Ms. Foundation arrives on the Vineyard to build community alongside those committed to creating social change. Ms. on Martha’s provides a unique opportunity to bring together a diverse array of people across industries, geographies, race, and age.
This year, on August 18 at 5 pm, they will be at the Grange Hall in West Tisbury. Outgoing President and CEO Teresa C. Younger and incoming President and CEO Tracy Sturdivant will share updates and insights about Ms. Foundation’s work as they enter a period of transition. This year’s event will also be the first public appearance of Tracy Sturdivant ahead of her official start in September.
Tracy will be joined by Kimberlé Crenshaw, the pioneering legal scholar and advocate who has fundamentally changed how we think about race and gender. Tracy and Kimberlé will sit down for a conversation on women’s philanthropy, building allyship and changing culture, and the power of intersectionality. Plus, we’ll hear from Kimberlé about her new book, “Backtalker.” Registration is free but RSVP is required.
