To the Editor:
I am proud to endorse District Attorney (DA) Rob Galibois for re-election as district attorney for the Cape and Islands, and urge my fellow Vineyarders to join me in voting for Rob in the Democratic primary on Sept. 1. As Dukes County clerk of courts, my principal focus is to ensure that our judicial system operates with absolute fairness, integrity, and efficiency, and I have witnessed throughout his entire first term how DA Galibois’ office shows up and truly understands the unique needs of our Island communities.
For too many years, the previous DA administration neglected and understaffed the prosecutorial function on the Vineyard, but Rob has successfully advocated for a recovery court on the Vineyard, and dedicated the resources of his office to ensuring robust prosecutorial presence in our courts. We must not go back. Vote to re-elect District Attorney Rob Galibois in the Democratic primary on Sept. 1.
