Local author and historian Tom Dresser will be at the West Tisbury library on Wednesday, Sept. 9, from 1 to 2 pm, for a discussion of his book “Vineyard Vanguards: Historic Trailblazers and Their Legacies.” Dresser will share stories of the Islanders whose energy and enthusiasm helped shape the Martha’s Vineyard community.
