Death Cafe offers a space for thoughtful conversation about death, dying, and bereavement. The October Death Cafe will be facilitated by Heather Massey, co-founder of Massachusetts’ first Death Cafe, and Joyce Maxner, Island Death Café facilitator.

Death Cafe is not affiliated with any religious organization. The objective is to increase a healthy awareness of death by lessening fear while enhancing life. Cake will be served!

The first gathering of the season will take place on Sunday, Oct. 18, from 2:15 to 3:45 pm. Additional gatherings are scheduled for Jan. 17 and May 16. Community death education programs will also be held on Nov. 15 and March 21.
