All are invited to the remembrance of the Rev. Brian J. Murdoch, who served the Grace Episcopal Church for years before his passing a decade ago.
There is a memorial service and reception Oct. 17 at 11 am at Grace Episcopal Church at 36 Woodlawn Ave. in Vineyard Haven. There will be a special announcement of the fund named for Father Murdoch supporting the work of Harbor Homes.
On Oct. 21, there will be a memorial gathering at Boston Rescue Mission, at 173 Humboldt Ave. in Dorchester, at 1:30 pm.
At both events the commemoration of Father Murdoch’s life as priest and chaplain to our most disadvantaged neighbors will be honored in enhancements to ministries and programs he embodied. And in both, there will be time for reflection and storytelling.
