West Tisbury Public Library. —Joshua Robinson White

On Sunday, Nov. 1 at 4 pm, Music Street will return to the West Tisbury library for a special fall concert, “The Night Has a Thousand Eyes.”

The Music Street concert will explore the many moods and meanings of “night,” from the arrival of autumn and the quiet rituals of bedtime to the intimacy of lovers at night. Acclaimed Boston soprano Hannah Meloy and mezzo-soprano SarahAnn Duffy will join forces for an afternoon of lush duets and solo songs.

The program will include works by Mendelssohn and Massenet, as well music by British and American songwriters and selections from musical theater. Through these songs, the performers will explore the many ways composers have captured and evoked nighttime.

This concert is free and open to the public. For more information about Music Street, please visit musicstreet1.com.
