Easter Activities: Hunting, brunching, and more

Though St. Patrick’s Day was just last week, we’re already past the spring equinox and on to the next holiday, Easter, this Sunday, March 27. This weekend holds plenty of opportunities for fun, whether it be egg hunts for sugar-scavenging children or decadent brunches for adults.

Egg Hunts

St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church Rectory, Edgartown: Saturday, March 26, 9 am. Take Edgartown-West Tisbury Road to Bold Meadow Road and follow the balloons. 508-627-5330.
Oak Bluffs Library: Saturday, March 26, 10 am. Bring a basket to the library and hunt for eggs. All children welcome. Plan to arrive early. 508-693-9433; oakbluffslibrary.org.
West Tisbury Library: Saturday, March 26, 10 am. After the hunt, the library will offer a tissue paper egg family craft for ages 3+. 508-693-3366; westtisburylibrary.org.
M.V. Community Services, Oak Bluffs: Saturday, March 26, 10 am–12 pm. This event will celebrate Island veterans and their families, but is open to the public. Egg hunt, arts and crafts, music and snacks. The egg hunt will start promptly at 10 am. 508-693-7900; mvcommunityservices.com.

Long Point Wildlife Refuge, West Tisbury: Saturday, March 26, 10 am–1 pm. Come explore the property and search for eggs. Starts at 11 am sharp from the Visitor Center. The Wharf, Edgartown: Saturday, March 26, 10:45 am–2 pm. Family-friendly scavenger hunt and photos with the Easter Bunny: $5 per person, $25 per family for the scavenger hunt, $5 for photo. Ag Hall, West Tisbury: Sunday, March 27, 11 am. Community Easter service hosted by First Congregational Church of West Tisbury.
