Julie Fay has been elected to the board of trustees for Martha’s Vineyard Hospital, according to a press release.
Fay, who is the executive director of Martha’s Vineyard Community Services, will add a level of expertise about challenges faced by Islanders, the release states.
“Julie will fill an important niche on our board as we begin to strengthen ties and collaborative efforts with the community and build upon the work that has already begun,” Denise Schepici, CEO of the hospital, said.
Fay has previous experience with Boston-area psychiatric hospitals, Department of Youth Services, and the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health.
“I am honored to be asked to serve on the board,” Fay said. “I look forward to strengthening the bond and collaboration between Martha’s Vineyard Hospital and Martha’s Vineyard Community Services.”
