Strengthening their familial bond,
mom and dad guide six little ones to the pond.
The goslings seem to be doing well,
just about two weeks out of the shell.
They’re small, but full of vigor and vim;
they know innately how to swim.
Parents guide them past life’s many hurdles…
especially hawks and snapping turtles.
From the time they arise at dawn,
they’re eating and soiling Quantapog’s lawn.
In the not-too-distant by and by,
they’ll spread their wings and take to the sky.
