Tuesday, at Veterans War Memorial Park, in a game where the defense outshone the offense, the Shady Ladies shaded the Honeys, 3-2. The Ladies scored one run in the top of the first inning. That was it until the Honeys tied the score with a run in the bottom of the sixth. Griffen Hughes answered by driving in two for the Shady Ladies in the top of the seventh to make it 3-1. The Honeys got one back in their half but no more.

The Late Fees upset the Creamers in the late game at the park, 14-12. The Fees wasted no time laying claim to the win. They batted around and scored six runs in the top of the first inning. The Creamers responded with two.

Neither team scored in the second but the Fees added five in the third, two in the fourth, and one more in the fifth.

The Creamers made a move late in the game scoring four in the fifth and five in the seventh, but they fell short of catching up to the Ladies.

The Women’s League second season of playoff games in double elimination begins tonight. At 6:15 pm the third seeded Late Fees take on the sixth seeded Snaps. At 7:30 pm it’s the 4 seeded Honeys versus the five seeded Rug Sox.

At season’s end the standings and seeds are:
