The sun is bright, and the day is clear,
as these two bask behind Windemere.
Both creatures seem to like to roam;
neither considers this nest home.
As I recall from spring time watchery,
they shared a nest at the Lobster Hatchery.
But with hot weather, that nest failed;
and shortly thereafter, both birds bailed.
Now, on most days that are bright and clear,
the pair hangs out at Windemere.
But, let not nature-lovers fear….
they’ll return to the Hatchery next year.
