Lane restrictions on the Bourne Bridge will begin October 12, so the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers can repair the deck and pave the bridge.Beginning at 10 am, travel restrictions remain in place 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. Travel over the Bourne Bridge will be reduced from two lanes in each direction to one lane in each direction, according to a press release.
The Army Corps advised that travel delays are likely to occur during the morning and afternoon peak travel periods each day, which could affect travelers with ferry reservations.
Message boards at both approaches to the Bourne Bridge will update motorists. Updates are also available on the Cape Cod Canal website at nae.usace.army.mil/recreati/ccc/news/bridgealerts.htm.
