Girls travel teams on a roll


The MV fifth grade girls travel team played Dartmouth at the Bourne Middle School, Sunday, and came away with a 26-18 win.

Molly deBettencourt was the game high scorer with 18 points. Devin Hill pulled down more than her share of rebounds and contributed four points. Kat Roberts was also effective at keeping the taller Dartmouth girls off the boards

Also last weekend, the MV seventh grade travel team posted a win against Sandwich on Island, 31-18. Caitlin Marchand led the balanced scoring with eight points. Mya Houston, Emily Turney, and Shannon Morris. Each contributed five.

On Sunday the team was at Orleans facing Nauset. The final score was a repeat 31-18 win. Erin Hill led the parade to the hoop. Both Mya Houston and Sam Hargy added six.

The girls are home for a double header this Sunday at the Oak Bluffs gym beginning at 10 am.
