Both Martha’s Vineyard boys travel soccer teams won their opening matches at the Massachusetts Tournament of Champions, in Lancaster, Friday afternoon.
The MV United (MVU) Under18 squad defeated Medfield 3-0, behind two goals from Lynacker DeSouza and one score from John Marcal. The MVU Under16’s blanked Newton, 1-0, on a goal from Jack Roberts.The teams will each play two matches today to complete round robin play.
