Patricia A. Corey of Oak Bluffs and Falmouth died on Monday, September 26, 2011 at Royal Nursing Center in Falmouth. She was 83. She was the beloved wife of Henry Corey, who predeceased her in 2010.
She was born in Boston to Maurice J. and Katherine (Driscoll) Kiley. Patricia was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy and Emmanuel College.
She was a second grade teacher at the Oak Bluffs School until her marriage to Henry in 1952. She then assisted him in his law practice as an invaluable aide. She had many interests and talents. As a teenager, she danced with Ballets Russes during their Boston performances. She was also a talented woodworker, and she built furniture.
Her son, Sean, of Falmouth and his wife, Kristin, and three children, Owen, Alexandra, and Aiden survive her. Also her daughter, Kathleen of Long Island, N.Y., and her husband, Bill, and three children, Marisol, Emma, and Liam. Her loving brother, Thomas, of Braintree, also survives her. Her loving brother Edward predeceased her.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Saturday, October 1, at St. Patrick’s Church, 511 Main Street, Falmouth. Burial will be at 1 pm at Oak Grove Cemetery in Oak Bluffs.
