Yvan, “Ivan,” Girard, 57, died peacefully in his Oak Bluffs home on October 27, 2011, surrounded by the love of his wife, Nancie, his daughter, Ashley, and his brother-in-law, Gregory Lucas, after his all-too-short battle with cancer.
Yvan is survived by his loving wife, Nancie Lynn Lucas, and his beloved daughter, Ashley Rose Girard. In addition, Yvan leaves three daughters, Jennyfer Girard, Kathleen Girard, and Kim Girard, of Quebec. He also leaves numerous family and friends in the U.S. and Canada.
Yvan will be remembered for his generous spirit, kind heart, and deep wonderful smile. He loved his craft and left special touches wherever he worked, forging strong friendships with many. His love of flowers, his passion, his kind soul, and his playful love of life will not be forgotten. The love and pride he felt for his family and home will always be remembered by all who knew him.
A wonderful husband, father, and friend. He will be dearly missed.
