Last Saturday and Sunday, audiences were treated to two performances of the “Martha’s Vineyard Nutcracker” at the Performing Arts Center at the M.V. Regional High School.
The 14th annual show, presented by Children in The Arts of Martha’s Vineyard, featured the M.V. School of Ballet and the Atlantic Coast Ballet.
Island student Devon Lodge (Snow King and Arabian) joined Cape Cod dancer Kirsten Glaser, who was the Sugar Plum Fairy, for which performance she received a standing ovation. Devon, 18, of Oak Bluffs, began dancing at age eight and is currently studying at The Julliard School in New York City.
