Islander Wiley skates in women’s Beanpot championship


Boston University junior and Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School graduate Cristina Wiley played for the Terriers Tuesday night against Northeastern University in the 34th Women’s Beanpot hockey championship game at Walter Brown Arena in Boston.

Wiley, the daughter of Chuck and Chris Wiley of Vineyard Haven, is a forward with the Terriers and has appeared in all 28 games this season. She has tallied four assists thus far. She is enrolled in B.U.’s College of Arts and Sciences.

Prior to attending B.U., Ms. Wiley played junior hockey for the Boston Shamrocks. She was a three-year varsity player at MVRHS and was named as an all-star by both the Boston Globe and the Southeastern Massachusetts Girls Hockey League. Cristina also captained the Vineyard soccer and lacrosse squads and earned an all-star selection in lacrosse.
