Astrological forecasts for Monday, March 3 – Sunday, March 9, 2014

Island astrologer Arlan Wise shares her astrological forecasts with us each week on Mondays. This column is like a cosmic weather report. It is written for everyone based on the sign the moon is in that day and what the planets are doing. Don’t be confused by the signs. This is not like the usual Sun sign astrology columns you see. Mars turned into retrograde motion on March 1 followed by Saturn who turned retrograde on March 2. Mars will travel from 27 – 9 degrees of Libra. Saturn moves from 23 – 16 degrees of Scorpio. Since Libra and Scorpio are next to each other, this means that a large area of your chart will feel the pressure to review and revise. It will be a serious time with many frustrations along the way. You will have to rethink and rebalance your relationships and partnerships, and give serious thought to what is happening below the surface. Mars will be retrograde until May 19; Saturn until July 20.

The North node of the moon has entered Libra and brings fresh energy to how you handle yourself in relationships. It is important to be honest. You’ll have to stop any tendency toward passive aggressive behavior and not blame anyone else at any time. All in all, March is a month to do some serious cleaning out of old clutter and debris on all levels – material, emotional, psychological, and spiritual.

Monday, March 3 – Moon in Aries. The Sun meets Chiron to present a day of healing energy. This is the day to break habits and start on a new way of being. It will be easy to transform your thinking, and your neural circuits, to become a new person who does not do the thing you want to stop doing. Listen to your inner voice for wisdom about any health issue you have.

Tuesday, March 4 – Moon in Aries, VC 12:31 pm until 2:12 pm when it enters Taurus. You can start new projects this morning. Have a long lunch or a good run during the VC period. You need to get used to moving slowly and thinking before you act to minimize the instances when you have to redo things. The next six weeks will be a time of slow growth, not instant gratification.

Wednesday, March 5 – Moon in Taurus. This is fertile energy if you want to get an early start on planting seeds. Venus moves into Aquarius and wants you to become more adventurous in your pleasures. She is finally out of the sign where she spent her retrograde vacation and it’s time for something new. Do tomorrow’s work today and do it carefully. It’s a night for a gourmet dinner and a gooey dessert.

Thursday, March 6 – Moon in Taurus, VC from 8:55 am until 9:37 pm when it enters Gemini. Jupiter turns direct at 5:42 am and you’ll see your luck change. This begins an excellent time to inaugurate a new venture. Don’t act on impulse today even though your emotions may urge you on. Take a mini- vacation and give your body a treat. Go for a massage, a facial, sauna, or take time for a nap.

Friday, March 7 – Moon in Gemini. It’s a day to stay busy doing Mercury things on this first day with the Moon in a Mercury ruled sign since he turned direct. Make phone call and write emails. Send in proposals and applications. Do your taxes or get the information to your accountant. Shop for that new iPad, tablet, phone, and computer and/or do upgrades on the ones you have. Go out with friends to talk and play games.

Saturday, March 8 – Moon in Gemini. Stick to your list of short errands and you’ll get a lot of them done. It will be fun to stop and catch up with the acquaintances you meet along the way. Look back on your thoughts and ideas from last month and decide which ones you want to act on. Take a short trip to visit a friend or go to a museum. Get out of the house and stay busy.

Sunday, March 9 – Moon VC Gemini, enters Cancer 9:33 am. TURN CLOCKS AHEAD ONE HOUR – Daylight Savings time starts early this morning. This will throw your body clock into a bit of upheaval. Stay home and have a family day. There’s an emphasis on water with its ability to communicate through non-verbal means. Listen to your feelings and respect people’s sensitivity.
