The Vineyard Bantam hockey club, unbeaten in four games, won their third straight after defeating the Coyle Cassidy Junior Warriors 3-2 in a playoff game last weekend. Jack Murray tallied off a feed from Jacob Gundersen, while Willson Slayton scored a brace of goals in a single shift.
March 23, in the Bantams’ first playoff game, M.V. beat Oliver Ames, 4-2. Hunter Ponte, Jacob Gundersen, Ian Trance, and Nick Bishoff all scored to lead a well-balanced Vineyard attack.
The Vineyarders skate again in another playoff game Friday with a berth in the championship game, to be played April 9, on the line.
