Yes, I was born in my house!
What town do you identify most with?
I live in Edgartown but I went to the Martha’s Vineyard Public Charter School so I feel more West Tisbury-y.
What is your favorite time of year on the Island?
My favorite time of the year is for sure September — when it gets much quieter but it’s still really beautiful out and you can still go to the beach and it’s our own little island again.
What are you most excited about right now?
Right now, I’m most excited about the Built on Stilts Dance Festival, because it’s something that I look forward to every year, and I’ve been doing it for a really long time so I’m familiar with it, but it’s fun and it’s different every year. It’s just really exciting to me. This year we’re dancing on ladders, it’s so scary! All of our rehearsals are on ladders and I’m worried I’ll fall and crack my head open!

Every day. It’s good stuff though — good work.
Do you have a favorite part of your job?
Being around people — meeting new people.
What do you do for fun on your days off?
Lobstering. I go on a boat — a guy I know owns a boat, it’s commercial — it’s what I did before this. It’s fun.
