Astrological Forecasts, October 6-12, 2014

Mercury will be retrograde for most of October. He turns backwards on October 4 and remains so until October 25. He travels from 2 degrees of Scorpio to 16 degrees of Libra. The area of your chart that has those degrees shows where Mercury insists you do some serious examination. Everyone will have to give time and effort to straightening out relationship issues.

There are two eclipses in October. Eclipses bring endings. They are highly auspicious times for spiritual matters. They are excellent times to meditate, recite mantras, chant and pray. The lunar eclipse is on October 8 at 15 degrees of Libra. The solar eclipse is on October 23 at 0 degrees of Scorpio. Those who have personal planets at these degrees you will be the ones who are most effected by the eclipses.

Leave the serious business for the first and last week of the month and try to enjoy the beauty of Fall for the retrograde influenced in between weeks.

Monday, October 6 – Moon in Pisces, VC 3:38 pm. Do what needs to be done but don’t start anything that you can’t finish in a few hours. You’ll do best when you can help someone else in some way. This is the day to take an elderly friend to lunch or help clean his/her yard or attic. Have a meaningful talk with a friend or relative and heal what has been festering under the surface.

Tuesday, October 7 – Moon in Aries. You need to do your own thing today. Stay free to jump when you get surprises thrown at you. The Sun and Uranus stand opposed and bring unexpected energy and information to how you relate to others. You and your partner need to negotiate the needs for being together and being alone. . There will be echoes to the events that happened last April that never got resolved. Stay active and work off the build up psychic energy in a physical way.

Wednesday, October 8 – Moon in Aries, VC 10:20 am. Today’s full moon is eclipsed and thus it becomes a herald of change. Don’t hang on to anything too tightly. Venus and Pluto ask you if you want to continue in your relationship. Love pushes up against its boundaries and wants to be free. There is a large amount of creative energy available for you to use to dive into a project you dream of creating.

Thursday, October 9 – Moon in Taurus. You’ll feel as if you have a hangover from yesterday’s eclipse. It will help to do something to ground the energy. Comfort yourself with food and soothing scents. Have a massage. It’s a day to straighten out the garden and put in bulbs for Spring flowers. Bring flowers to anyone you had a disagreement with yesterday.

Friday, October 10 – Moon in Taurus, VC 8:49 pm. Mercury backs into Libra and asks you to review how you communicate in your relationships. He wants you to redecorate and get rid of clutter. The Sun and Jupiter dance and invite you to make a wish. They may not give you exactly what you want but chances are that you will receive something better. Take advantage of the opportunities that come your way.

Saturday, October 11 – Moon VC Taurus, enters Gemini 11:51 am. Sleep in and have a restful morning. Do your running round and errands in the afternoon. Venus and Uranus play with you and lead you into unknown and exciting byways. You can meet a person who will be a catalyst for your growth. Their message is engage but don’t attach.

Sunday, October 12 – Moon in Gemini. Use today for catching up on your emails, phone calls, and neighborly visits. Take care of any Mercury retrograde mix-ups that have happened. It will be fun if you make a last minute decision to go somewhere nearby, but new to you, for the remainder of the holiday weekend. Call some friends and ask them to come along with you.
