It smelled good, sounded good, tasted good and and even did good : Fresh off the Farm,  kickoff event of the MV Food and Wine Festival pleased pretty much all of the senses. Even one’s sense of responsibility, as a good portion of the proceeds to the sold-out soiree will go to benefit Island Grown Schools.

The crowd was just big enough to feel festive and important, and just small enough to translate into no wait times at the various food and wine tables. Edgartown Board of Trade member and event organizer Tina Miller told the Times she was thrilled with the turnout. “The chefs outdid themselves using local ingredients,” she said. “The food was all so good and unique.”
