Poet’s corner: Winter beach

0

the sun!  the sun!

gusts to 40

heart flutters

a gift of beach

travel — adjust

clothes in layers

weather, footwear

terrain

miles — stretch

sleep on clay

skin

life change

splash of ions

kiss of sea

shifting crystals

head buried — dark

wing’s last flight

swings with wind

hinged above sand

making music

no longer

soaring

with blind eye

I spy

eternity
